Day 28: Decluttering

Don't you love my artwork?

I've been meaning to do this forever! In recent months I've been extra inspired by some recent blog posts and my friend Susan. These are cards that show Ryann the steps it takes to get ready for school and also for bed. Our morning was sooo much nicer with these cards! She found the bedtime routine more fun, but it is so much easier to deflect a strange request or refocus a wandering preschooler with "Have you checked what comes next on your cards?" rather than my normal frustrated rants.

Day 26: Hungry

It's hard to tell from this picture, but this might be the biggest plate of spaghetti ever. I was very, very hungry and it was only with some restraint that this plate wasn't piled higher. Ryann needed to eat too, after all.

Completely homemade garlic bread. Cause that's how I roll.

Day 25: It's beautiful!

Ryann's reaction to a student art exhibit (I assume student... but I guess I'm not sure). As I was congratulating myself on exposing her to art and taking pictures she smeared two drawings. I still feel terrible for the work we messed up!

Day 23: Like a G6

I have a sound machine app on my phone that Ryann and I use to fall asleep (with vastly different preferences). I left her to pick out her sounds while I put some things away in the kitchen when I suddenly heard, "Poppin bottles in the ice.." coming from the bedroom. I walked in to see Ryann kicked back on the bed listening to Like a G6 and playing games. Not the relaxing bedtime ritual I was thinking about.

Day 22: Cookies

Sometimes we make cookies on a pizza pan instead of hunting for wherever I stuck the cookie sheet. Time was of the essence, as Ryann had been desperate for cookies all day.
